Furthermore, the platform is designed to reinforce all key principles of ISO 27001, ensuring proactive protection against modern cyber threats through granular access controls and comprehensive audit logging.
Ostara renews ISO 27001 Accreditation
Ostara Systems Ltd. are proud to announce that they successfully passed their latest ISO 27001 audit, confirming Ostara’s commitment to the highest levels of data security.
This renewal was significant, as whilst Ostara has held an ISO 27001 accreditation since 2021, they have now moved to the latest 2022 version of the standard, and were audited by a UKAS-accredited body.
ISO 27001 is an international standard for the management of information security. It details requirements for implementing and maintaining an information security system, as well as the framework to continually improve this system.
Since its foundation, Ostara has operated to a set of ISO-27001 compliant policies and procedures, aware of the importance of following industry standards with regards to data security.
The system contains a significant volume of information, to be used as a part of their clients’ maintenance management processes. This certification confirms to both current and future clients, that their data will be safe and secure within the Ostara System.
Emmaus & Ostara: Making a Difference
At Ostara Systems we take pride in the charitable work conducted by our employees. One such person is Lesley, our Office Custodian.
Lesley started working with Ostara Systems in early 2024 and has quickly become a valued and well-respected member of the team, playing a vital role in day-to-day operations.
Lesley’s charitable work began with her previous employer, John Lewis, in which she applied to work part-time for the Emmaus organisation as part of the Golden Jubilee Award scheme. Lesley enjoyed her time so much with Emmaus that her charity work has extended beyond her agreement with John Lewis and continues today.
Emmaus seeks to provide meaningful employment for their “companions”, in exchange for room and board and an allowance. The companions are those that have experienced hardship, which generally involves homelessness and substance issues.
Lesley helps in running the Emmaus site in Bedfordshire, she volunteers every Tuesday and helps with operational requirements such as organising stock, cleaning and preparation of the store for the next day of trading.
Lesley describes her days at Emmaus as “packed full of laughs and joking”, she encourages others to do the same as her, but warns “be absolutely serious about it – you’ll be relied on”, which just highlights how important these activities are.
Emmaus is the most recent item on a long list of charitable work for Lesley, from litter-picking, to afternoon tea for the elderly, to running a charity shop fashion show. We are very proud to have an employee with such strong values and the drive to act on them.

Whitbread renews CAFM Software Agreement.
Ostara Systems Ltd is proud to announce the renewal of its CAFM Software contract with Whitbread, marking the continuation of a successful partnership that first began in 2016.
Whitbread, the owner of Premier Inn, the UK’s biggest hotel brand, alongside well-known restaurant chains including Beefeater and Brewer’s Fayre, will continue to utilise Ostara’s comprehensive Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) software.
The software is integral to Whitbread’s operations, enabling the management of their entire FM process. Its uses include:
- Built-in Contractor management
- Contractor check-in process via Bluetooth Beacons
- Legislative Compliance monitoring
- Condition audits via the Ostara Mobile app
- Finance controls and Budgeting
The Ostara team looks forward to continuing to work with and support Whitbread in their Maintenance Management activities.
Safestore Begin Using the Ostara CAFM Software in France
Ostara Systems is proud to announce that Safestore have recently launched the use of Ostara’s Industry Leading CAFM Software in France. Safestore will be using the Ostara System to manage their maintenance activities at their 30 French sites, which operate under the name Une Pièce en Plus.
Safestore first implemented the Ostara CAFM system in 2019, to provide a platform to ensure they control maintenance activities and provide the much-needed transparency when it comes to compliance within their growing UK estate.
Safestore is the UK’s largest and Europe’s second-largest provider of self-storage solutions. Their principal operations are located in the UK and include two Business Centres with a further 25 stores in Europe.
Ostara look forward to continuing their work with Safestore in both the UK and Europe.

The Ostara Charity Event
Thanks to all of our clients, their contractors, and our employees who took part in our #OstaraCares charity event last week, and gave so generously.
We are pleased to announce the total raised was £7,264.50!
The money raised will make a huge difference to the two charities we were supporting: Samaritans & Cancer Research UK.
From waxing, car washing and singing, to giant Jenga and a quiz it was a fantastic day full of fun and great fundraising.
Thank you again to everyone for their hard work and generosity that helped to make the Ostara Charity Event such a great day!
